Let's be honest, it's impossible to find time to just relax when you're a busy student. Not to mention it's even harder to find things to do when you have to search all over the Holland College homepage just for one answer. Perhaps you are curious about other programs or what was that local store saying about their sales? Welcome to Holland Voice, one of the few student media pages to rise out of Holland College.

In 1923, The Prince of Wales College had decided to start a student newspaper known as "Prince of Wales College Observer" later named the "The Prince of Wales College Times". Both papers featured numerous articles including things such as sports, poetry, alumni news and all things campus.

In 1969, Saint Dunstan's University was to be shut down to be merged with Prince of Wales College and that would form UPEI (University of Prince Edward Island) where the paper was turned from College Times to "The Cadre" which is still running to this day. The government of PEI decided to use the empty space from The Prince of Wales College to create what we now know now as Holland College! There have been media outlets since, but they have been typically not student led.

Most of the media that has been affiliated with Holland is run by a department head or someone within the department.

If UPEI has a paper ran by students there is no reason Holland College shouldn't have one a little more media. The mission of Holland Voice is to create a place for students to not only find fun in media, but to also see themselves or peers highlighted. Students deserve to know what's going on.

A whole community exists at Holland College with different students all around from many different programs. There are plenty of things going on at Holland College and lots of things happening all around The Island for students to participate in.

So instead of hunting for endless hours across numerous websites and social media pages, welcome to Holland Voice, a student media hub.
